Changes to Access as a result of COVID-19.

This GP Practice is currently restricting access for the safety of all patients and staff.

The practice remains open for all essential primary care problems but on the advice of Health Protection Scotland we have put in place a process whereby everyone is screened by telephone prior to being seen.

All patients will still have access to the care they require.

We appreciate your patience and understanding at this time.

PLEASE TRY TO PHONE OR USE THE ONLINE REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUEST SERVICE. WE WOULD APPRECIATE NO REPEAT SLIPS BEING HANDED TO THE SURGERY. WE WILL BE CONTINUING WITH OUR DISPENSING SERVICE AS USUAL.

SCREENING APPOINTMENTS

Cervical screening, breast screening, diabetic retinopathy and bowel screening appointments are now being sent out.  If you have any queries with regard to these screening programmes please contact  NHS inform on 0800 22 44 88 or contact a Screening Centre.

PUBLIC HOLIDAY

THE SURGERY WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAY 3RD AUGUST FOR A PUBLIC HOLIDAY.  THIS WILL BE COVERED BY AN OOH SERVICE.  PLEASE CALL 111 SHOULD YOU REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. IF YOU HAVE A MEDICAL EMERGENCY PLEASE DIAL 999.

Please note that North Kessock surgery will be closed until further notice, so prescriptions will need to be collected from Munlochy surgery.

If you will run out of your prescriptions, or are unable to collect them, please telephone us.

Repeat Prescriptions

From the list on the request slip decide which medicines you need.

Tick the box next to the name of each medicine you want to order on the request slip, or write a letter stating clearly which medicines you require. In a letter you must include the name and strength of the medicine, and how often you take the prescribed medicine.

Either post the request slip or letter to the practice, hand it in to the receptionist, or post in the box provided in the reception area.

You may also order using our secure online form via the link at the top of this page.

You may telephone us to request a repeat prescription (Munlochy only) but ask that you do so between 14:30 – 16:00 only.

Patients must indicate whether they wish to collect their medication from Munlochy or North Kessock.

When Your Prescription is Ready?

If you are collecting your prescription from the Practice please allow 2 working days (not counting Saturday and Sunday) for us to have the prescription ready.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO DELIVERIES NOW BEING LATER AND SOMETIMES ITEMS NOT BEING DELIVERED THE NEXT DAY  PRESCRIPTIONS MAY TAKE 3 OR EVEN 4 DAYS BEFORE THEY WILL BE READY FOR COLLECTION AT THE SURGERY.  WE SHALL, AS ALWAYS, DUE OUR BEST TO GET YOUR PRESCRIPTION DISPENSED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

If you have asked for the prescription to be sent to a pharmacy (chemist) please allow, at least, three working days for the Pharmacy to have your prescription ready.

Please do not ask for a repeat prescription during a consultation—it takes time for the doctor to review your medication and it may cause him/her to run late.

Please note: You cannot collect your prescriptions from the practice on Saturday mornings as we are closed.

Review of Your Prescriptions

Your medical condition, and your medication, will be reviewed at intervals by your doctor from the details in your medical records. At least once a year, dependent on your medical condition, your doctor will want to see you personally to carry out this review. Therefore, do not be alarmed if you are called into the Practice to see your doctor!

New patients - please note - if you are a new patient to the Practice, you must be seen by a doctor before your first repeat prescription can be issued.
