Noticeboard

Changes to Access as a result of COVID-19.

This GP Practice is currently restricting access for the safety of all patients and staff.

We have at all times during the pandemic been available for our patients and have continued to offer medical care. We continue to offer telephone appointments as the initial contact, but will see you face to face when this is necessary. This helps us keep our practice as covid-secure as possible by limiting the number of people in the building, and helps us manage the current high level of demand for our services. We are sorry that this does not suit all our patients.

The doors remain closed so that we can avoid indoor mixing of patients who are unwell with those collecting prescriptions. Again we recognise that this is not ideal and are very grateful for the support we have had from all our patients since the start of the pandemic.

PLEASE TRY TO PHONE OR USE THE ONLINE REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUEST SERVICE. WE WOULD APPRECIATE NO REPEAT SLIPS BEING HANDED TO THE SURGERY. WE WILL BE CONTINUING WITH OUR DISPENSING SERVICE AS USUAL.

Please allow 4 working days after requesting a prescription before coming to collect it.

SCREENING APPOINTMENTS

Cervical screening, breast screening, diabetic retinopathy and bowel screening appointments are now being sent out.  If you have any queries with regard to these screening programmes please contact  NHS inform on 0800 22 44 88 or contact a Screening Centre.

WE ARE CURRENTLY ASKING PATINETS TO ALLOW 4 WORKING DAYS FOR PROCESSING REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS.

If you will run out of your prescriptions, or are unable to collect them, please telephone us.

Repeat Prescriptions

From the list on the request slip decide which medicines you need.

Tick the box next to the name of each medicine you want to order on the request slip, or write a letter stating clearly which medicines you require. In a letter you must include the name and strength of the medicine, and how often you take the prescribed medicine.

Either post the request slip or letter to the practice, hand it in to the receptionist, or post in the box provided in the reception area.

You may also order using our secure online form via the link at the top of this page.

You may telephone us to request a repeat prescription (Munlochy only) but ask that you do so between 14:30 – 16:00 only.

Patients must indicate whether they wish to collect their medication from Munlochy or North Kessock.

When Your Prescription is Ready?

If you are collecting your prescription from the Practice please allow 4 working days (not counting Saturday and Sunday) for us to have the prescription ready.

If you have asked for the prescription to be sent to a pharmacy (chemist) please allow, at least, up to 4 working days for the Pharmacy to have your prescription ready.

Please do not ask for a repeat prescription during a consultation—it takes time for the doctor to review your medication and it may cause him/her to run late.

Please note: You cannot collect your prescriptions from the practice on Saturday mornings as we are closed.

Review of Your Prescriptions

Your medical condition, and your medication, will be reviewed at intervals by your doctor from the details in your medical records. At least once a year, dependent on your medical condition, your doctor will want to see you personally to carry out this review. Therefore, do not be alarmed if you are called into the Practice to see your doctor!
